India yet to get the right combo

With hardly a day left for the big and final league game of the ICC world Cup against West Indies, the Indian camp was in full flow at the Chepauk.

The team had fielding and football session at the main ground and later a batting and bowling session at the MAC ‘B’ ground.Suresh Raina, Munaf Patel, R Ashwin, Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh formed one batch and were the first to have a net session. Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli had a long stint at the nets and were supervised by Paddy Upton and Eric Simmons.Suresh Raina polished his strokeplay and concentrated on playing as straight as possible while Kohli was trying to get his drives right. Yusuf who is yet to make an impact in the World Cup had a very long session.Harbhajan Singh, Sreesanth had a go at the nets along with local lads. But the second batch of Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and Sehwag was interesting to watch. Dhoni went through the motions trying all the strokes and missing some too. But it was Sachin Tendulkar who made best use of the practice session. He first asked the local boys to chuck around the middle and off stump and played the ball on the rise. Sachin used this session to season his new bat. Sehwag was put through a ‘chucking’ by Upton. Viru played with customary ease and did not look in discomfiture as he has been recovering from a slight knee swelling.
