Indian Cricket Fans Are Strange!

I must admit I love Indian’s,but my word are they a strange bunch especially when it comes to supporting their beloved cricket Team. In the lead up to the last qualifying match there were many in the Indian masses who were hoping for a loss and duly a match against Sri Lanka.

Rather than Australia….

Which to me defied belief for forgive me, but Sri Lanka is a very good side and very complete one too.Aside for a few slight weaknesses in their middle order.That are well covered by a few decent batsmen in Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene coming in before them.

Then they have a few decent bowlers in Lasith Malinga and Muttiah Muralidaran…..

So why in God’s name India would you want to play Sri Lanka?-Unless your talking about the Final?

On the other hand the Australian’s who yes have theWaugh’s,Symonds,McGrath,Warne,Hayden,Martyn,Bevan and a Vintage Ponting and the like……….

Oh oops sorry im an old man and my senile dementia kicked in………….!

These names have been replaced by your Watson’s,Smith’s,Tait’s,White’s,Krejza’s and a Ponting and Clarke that are faded forces.

So forgive me India but why do you fear this bunch of Aussies? For to be frank, I can’t for the life of me see how they’d beat India!

Granted India’s bowling is very weak,but then Australia’s is weaker…. For it’s very dependant on pace and on pitches that are getting slower and lower this is as useful as a water proof teabag. Unless of course your a Malcolm Marshall,Wasim Akram or the like….
Which the Aussie trio of Lee,Tait and Johnson are nowhere close! Then on the batting side it’s like comparing India’s diamonds with Australia’s dust. So how can anyone think Australia will win.For if India bats first they only have to see of an impressive Brett Lee and then victimise the rest.To the point where i’d back Indian running up a 350+ total.

Then when Australia bats with their weakness against swing and spin how do you think the swing king Zaheer Khan will go initially.Then the Indian spinner will go there after?
Whatever way I look at this clash I can only see an Indian victory and a comprehensive one at that
So rather than fearing the Aussies,id instead be sending chauffeured limousines to make sure they get to the ground on time!
